About Us
GenSimU was created by Sheila Ruffin, an energy attorney who has dedicated her career to utility affordability and the financial pressures families face every day. After seeing how budgeting tradeoffs impact household stability, she recognized a critical gap: many adults are navigating financial realities they were never taught to manage. Sheila built GenSimU to give youth the tools many adults only learn under stress.
Our mission is to equip the next generation with money management skills, real-world responsibility, and confident financial decision-making needed to strengthen their futures.
